This is the traditional Harry McClintock version. There could have been multiple versions of this song but I seem to like this one, and it might be the official version. This is a fun song about a hobo who has a dream of an easy life.

Big Rock Candy Mountain

C                                                                          F                        C
One evening as the sun went down and the jungle fire was burning,
F                                       C                                F                                  C
Down the track came a hobo hikin', and he said, "Boys, I'm not turning.
F                             C                 F       C             F                  G7
I'm headed for a land that's far a way, Beside the crystal fountains,
C                                                                    G7                         C
So come with me, we'll go and see, The Big Rock  Candy Mountains

Where the handouts grow on bushes, And you sleep out every night,

Where the boxcars all are empty, and the sun shines every day,
             F                     C                       F              C
On the birds and the bees and the cigarette trees,
         F               C                                 F             C                   G7                        C
The lemonade springs,  where the bluebird sings, in the Big Rock Candy Mountains

The farmers' trees are full of fruit and the barns are full of hay.
